What Is The Difference Between Plants And Trees?

A tree is always a plant someday, but a plant can not always be a tree. Plants and trees, do you know what makes them different?

A plant is an initial stage of the tree but it’s not necessary that each plant will grow and become a tree. Both plants and trees come under the classification of five kingdoms and also come under the same Plantae. This kingdom contains, herbs, shrubs, grass, veins, bushes, mosses, ferns, and trees. Plant and Tree both stems, leaves, roots, a vascular system which helps them to supply food and water, and are eukaryotes, multicellular. The survival of both a plant and tree depends on three different categories which are stress-tolerant, ruderal, and circumventor. The stress-tolerant plants are those which have the ability to survive with lack of water, fertilizers and have the ability to protect them from being eaten. Ruderals is a type of plant which is annual and perennial which reproduces very fast and produces a number of seeds. Plants and Trees which have very fewer seeds productivity and have very preventive capability to fight against pests and other diseases of their surroundings are called circumventor.

Difference Between Plants and Trees:

1. Plants:

Plants are the most important part of this ecosystem and are multicellular eukaryotes. Plants are immobilized living things that remain stationary in one place. They prepare their food by the process of photosynthesis that produces the chemical energy with the help of sunlight, water, minerals, carbon dioxide (CO2). They produce oxygen which is very much necessary for the survival of other living things. Their vascular system is quite good which helps them to supply the food and water throughout the whole body. Their size varies that can be from a few millimeters,90 meters, or many more.

They can be of tender, soft stems, single, multiple, or pseudostem.

They had woody and hard stems whom we also know as trunk and that holds the complete wait of the tree.

It can be both Autotrophic or Heterotrophic.

It is Autotrophic.

They can be seasonal and bi-annuals and they also do not have a long life span.

They are not seasonal and have a long life span. They can grow for hundreds of years if they get favorable conditions.
